Daytona Bike Week Blast!

What a blast! What a great trip! I can’t believe that its over so soon. This had to be the best one yet. Daytona Bike Week. In all its glory! This is Bob from Ohio reporting back to all my homeboys about the great time we had there last week in beautiful sunny central Florida. We did all the usual things like the mandatory cruises down Main Street, the rides to the Iron Horse and the Broken Spoke Saloon. But this year we went on a pilgrimage to the new Motorcycle Mecca… none other than Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona . That was awe inspiring. Thousand of new and used Harleys and custom bikes all in a gleaming new chrome and brick building all there for the viewing and the taking (but of course at a very hefty price tag as usual for Harley dealerships). .

Which brings us to the issue in question. Money. Or the lack of it. We spent tons of time looking for the best deals on parts and accessories at all of the usual suspect places. The process of fixing up the ride with that special something to make it ultra cool and unique is never ending. There are so many places that claim to be the best in terms of prices on parts that are usually a great big disappointment. And a great waste of time and energy in addition to the waste of gas in getting there and finding that they do not live up to their claims by any means.

We have come to a conclusion based upon many days of searching and seeking out those best deals on those special parts. They are most likely to be found on ….. the Internet.

After a full and complete exploration of discovery (full of failure and disappointment) there is no longer any doubt, there is no place that can compare to the Internet for unqualified bargains and completeness of immediate availability. The Internet holds bargains that can never be duplicated by any individual dealer or group of suppliers and parts providers in any locality even one dedicated to bikers such as Daytona Bike Week. No comparison. Not even close. The Internet beats them all hands down. Internet Rules by far.

Article by Steve Schmidtz

As more and more retailers recognize the benefits of having a strong, flexible on hold messaging program, retail operations across the country are turning to Mind The Gap for the company’s experience and its unsurpassed technological abilities.

The latest retailers to name Mind The Gap as their preferred on hold messaging provider are Classic Harley Davidson near Reading, PA and American Twin Harley Davidson in Corning, NY. Both retailers sell and repair Harley Davidson bikes as well as offer a variety of genuine parts and accessories.

Marc A. Gallo, president of Mind The Gap, explains that “An effective on hold messaging program can be a strong marketing tool that builds customer loyalty and helps create additional sales.  In a challenging economy, businesses need every advantage they can get, so it’s no wonder that so many retailers are adding on hold messaging to their marketing programs.”

Gallo also explains one of the advantages of Mind The Gap’s services: “We understand that retail dealerships with varied products and services often need to change their on hold messages quickly.  Our digital on hold player, the MTG 1250i, enables us to remotely download new programming via the internet within a day or less.  For example, the Harley Davidson dealerships hold many events throughout the year to attract potential customers to their showrooms.  With the MTG1250i, it’s extremely cost-efficient to keep their on hold messaging up to date.

Mind The Gap professional on hold messaging services include scriptwriting, voice talent, music, audio production, licensing and digital on hold players.  These on hold messaging services interface with a client’s existing telephony system permitting them to inform, market, educate and promote their products and services to their customers and prospective customers while on hold.
